Profile: Diane Dimond is a contributor to Court TV and was involved as a frontline reporter during the 1993 Michael Jackson Trial. Prior to her joining Court TV, she worked for the Fox News Channel covering the war on terrorism.

She began her career at a radio station in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1976, she landed a job at National Public Radio and anchored newscasts for the popular show, “All Things Considered.” In 1980, she became Correspondent for RKO Radio Network, to cover events around Washington with an emphasis on Capitol Hill and the White House. Later she was RKO’s National Political Correspondent and covered the presidential campaign of Walter Mondale.

Dimond’s first job in television news came in 1986 at WCBS in New York and covered stories like the "Baby M" surrogate mother case. By 1990 she moved to the syndicated program Hard Copy to become an investigative reporter. She won awards for a series of investigative reports, which first revealed the child molestation charges against Michael Jackson. Time Magazine cited her coverage of the Jackson story as among "The Best TV of '93". Dimond also made headlines when she acquired then aired the actual interrogation tape of OJ Simpson being questioned by the Los Angeles police department.

She is no stranger to being in the middle of major news stories, such as being the first to report the story of rape at the Kennedy compound in Palm Beach, Florida and to identify William Kennedy Smith as the accused. In 1998 Diane moved to NBC and partnered with Geraldo Rivera to co-anchor CNBC’s nightly newscast, UpFront Tonight. She anchored many reports from Washington on the impeachment of Bill Clinton. At MSNBC Dimond covered the presidential campaign and traveled with Bush, Gore and Nader.

Dimond is married to fellow broadcast journalist Michael Schoen.
