| Audio Feed Granted for Reading of Michael Jackson Verdict

When jurors reach a verdict in the Michael Jackson trial, Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville has decided to allow an audio feed to broadcast the reading of the verdict in the courtroom. A jury of eight women and four men will resume deliberations on Mr. Jackson's case on Monday, and when they reach a verdict it will be broadcast. Jurors will meet everyday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm until a verdict is reached.
The jury will have to deliberate over 14 weeks of testimony by more than 130 witnesses. Before breaking for the weekend Friday, the jury elected a foreperson.
"He's relieved that it's over," Mr. Jackson's spokeswoman Raymone Bain commented. "He has a great confidence in the justice system, and he's hoping and believing the jury is going to acquit him of these charges."
"This is the hardest part now -- the waiting game."
The Judge has permitted Mr. Jackson to await the verdict at his Neverland Ranch, which is about an hour away from the Santa Maria courthouse.
