Michael Jackson's attorneys were in court yesterday to attend another hearing in the case against the King of Pop to discuss several motions. A motion was filed by Defence attorneys on July 13th and consisted of 22 pages of reasons why the trial should be delayed for four months, and was signed by Steve Cochran. According to the Associated Press, the motion called the charges against Michael an effort to "take down a major celebrity".

According to Roger Friedman of FOX News, the story that appeared in UK tabloid News of the World over the weekend cannot be taken seriously. The story appeared in what Friedman called the "reliably funny" tabloid, and had an 18-year-old boy accusing Michael Jackson of child abuse from over a decade ago, however Friedman states that even Santa Barbara District Attorney Tom Sneddon "doesn't seem to be taking any of this seriously, which is exactly right."
